CANCER TREATMENT IN VIVANTES HOSPITAL GROUP

To effectively treat cancer patients specialists from different fields in Vivantes work in close cooperation with each other. Specialized clinics and centers of Vivantes practice very specific knowledge about some types of cancer and its methods of treatment. In order to combine different knowledge and make them accessible to the patient at an equivalent high level, a special Tumor Center was created in the Vivantes network. As a comprehensive institution, it coordinates the cooperation of highly specialized teams of clinics network.   Thanks to modern communication channels, now every patient, regardless of what clinic he is in, gets immediate access to the base of doctors, technologies and knowledge.   The tumor center of Vivantes consists of three cancer centers in the north, south and in the center of Berlin. All three cancer centers are certified by the German Society for Hematology and Oncology (DGHO). Also, the center of the breast of the clinic Vivantes Am Urban and the Center for Lung Cancer Clinic Vivantes Neukolln have the seal of the OnkoZert certification of the German Cancer Society (DKG). Moreover, the Tumor Center confirmed compliance with the quality standard DIN EN ISO 9001. In 2015, Skin Cancer Centers in the Friedrichshain and Spandau clinics were DIN certified and recertified in 2016. Since 2009, the Department of Pathology of the Vivantes Clinic Group has been supported by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), making it the largest accredited CAP institution in Germany. CAP accreditation is applied internationally as evidence of high quality medicine. Also, all Vivantes clinics received a certificate of "Patient Safety".

Achieved her recognition as a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology. She worked as an assistant doctor and an assistant-obstetrician in the Moabit clinics, Havelhoe and Westend. 

Further, she held the position of Senior Consultant in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a focus on cancer surgery in a hospital Havelhoe. In Vivantes, Am Urban she has been working since 2003. She also completed her training course at the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic Surgery and Hand Surgery at Paul Gerhard Hospital. Completed a three-month internship in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, USA.  

As an expert in the field of breast diseases she was certified by the European Academy of Senology, DEGUM certificate was awarded for ultrasound, and breast biopsy, also received a certificate for breast surgery in accordance with the quality criteria AWOgyn DGGG.

He Is a gynecologist and a doctor-Senologist, specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as inflammatory processes of the breast and mammary glands. Professor Faridi also specializes in reconstructive breast surgery and carries out a large number of aesthetic operations. Studied medicine in Cologne. Has received specialization in the field of gynecology and obstetrics, as well as additional qualifications in oncogynecology. Thanks to early detection and modern surgical techniques, Professor Faridi can help almost 75% of patients with breast cancer. In case of complete removal of the mammary gland, Professor Faridi and his team also performs the reconstruction of the mammary glands with the help of implants and the patient's own tissues.

He also held the position of chief physician of the Women's Clinic of Portz-Rein, as well as the Breast center of the Clinic Asklepios.
