ONCOLOGY AND HEMATOLOGY IN NORDWEST

The Oncology and Hematology Center fat the Nordwest Hospital is accredited as the "Designated Center for Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care" by the ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology). In the world there are only 22 cancer centers that meet the highest standards in cancer treatment and have received the ESMO certificate.

In the field of research, as well as the development of new methods for the diagnosis and treatment of oncology, the Nordwest clinic cooperates with the University Center for Frankfurt (UCT) in cancerous Diseases , the Ludwig Cancer Research Center, the Deutsche Krebschilf organization and others.

The Neurology Department of the Nordwest Hospital in Frankfurt is one of the largest centers for the treatment of acute diseases of the nervous system in Germany. The main focus of the center is the treatment of multiple sclerosis. In addition, patients with stroke and neuroimmunological diseases are treated here. In the department of neurology, a modern block for patients with a stroke is available, in which there are 8 beds with a constant monitoring system and 4 beds of periodic control.

Prior to joining Nordwest, since 2000 she has held managerial positions at the University Clinic in Heidelberg. In 2011, she received the title of professor of neurology at the University of Brunei. Awarded the honorary aristocratic title of the Brunei Sultanate. For the achievements in the field of scientific research, she was awarded by the Brown Foundation Prize "For Contribution to the Creation of New Methods of Curing Pneumonia", "For Achievements in the Research of Viral Herpes Encephalitis" Prize, the University of Heidelberg Prize "For Scientific Research of Viral Herpes Encephalitis", and Prize of the German Society for Combating Viral Diseases "For Research in Clinical Virology".
