On the basis of Anam Hospital is an International Medical Center for Support of Foreign Patients is functioning which was opened in 2009.

GASTROENTEROLOGY CENTER

The Korea University Anam Clinic gastroenterology center is considered the leader in the treatment of diseases of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, liver, gallbladder and pancreas. BREAST DISEASES TREATMENT CENTER

The Breast Treatment Center was opened in spring 2008. The latest models of mammography, devices for ultrasound, 3.0T MRI, PET-CT, linear accelerators and the Da Vinci Xi robotic system are placed here.

This equipment provides the qualitative diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of the breast and in particular cancer.

The world-famous Dr. Ba Chong Won works at the Center. He is the head of this institution, and treats patients with the help of modern techniques, the effectiveness of which is recognized worldwide. The Center practices the system of general diagnostics and the prescription of a therapy course (one stop service), making it possible to detect a malignant neoplasm of the breast in the shortest possible time and begin therapy. In most cases, the removal of the tumor is carried out in a minimally invasive way, providing a chance to save the body and significantly reduce the recovery period of the body.

Modern methods are used for the prophylactic and prevention of breast cancer, as well as the rehabilitation of women who have had breast cancer. He received the Young Researcher Award of the American Heart Society and the American Heart Association, during a training at the Cedars-Sinai Arrhythmia Research Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) (USA).

Having extensive experience in conducting surgical procedures, patients with various conditions, the number of which exceeds 3600 cases. In his professional practice there was not a single death. In addition, about 140 scientific theses were presented in the International Scientific Citation Index (SCI) written by the doctor. He is recognized as a global medical scientist in the field of arrhythmia treatment.

In 2008, Professor Kim developed a method for treating patients with recurrent atrial fibrillation or excessively thickened cardiac muscle, in which not only the endocardium was damaged, but also the outer side of the heart. In 2011, he developed method for treating intractable atrial fibrillation, which consists of injecting alcohol into a blood vessel, after an MRI scan of the damaged area of the heart.
