Features of the Clinic

MEDICAL INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE HADASSAH CLINIC

The clinic is proud of the newest hospital building - Sarah's Tower Watsman Davidson. This is a flawlessly designed advanced hospital housing with low power consumption. In the 19-storeyed (5 of them underground) Davidson Tower there are: 20 operating rooms, 500 hospital beds and an additional 50 beds in the intensive care unit, in addition there are the Heart Institute and the Institute of Internal Diseases, all surgical and therapeutic units, surgical and the therapeutic department, as well as the department of cardiac recovery. On each floor there are two wards with one and two-bed rooms. A four-place postoperative ward in each department eliminates the need to transfer patients with a moderately severe condition to the intensive care unit. The building contains a radiological satellite department and a specialized visualization center. This building is an additional platform for the implementation of individual treatment programs, for the study of genes and stem cells. Even before the construction began, a group of Israeli and American architects working in the center of Hadassah received an award for the building project. Taking into account the demands and requirements of the growing environmental movement, they used a large number of energy-saving devices and other innovative ideas to make the building surpass modern standards in many respects.
