The multispecialty Gachon University Gil Medical Center is considered one of the best in Asia.

Initially, the hospital was presented as a gynecological center which later on converted to a multidisciplinary institute.

Oncological Center (one of the best in the country, doctors possess huge experience in the surgical treatment of neoplasms of the stomach, liver, colon etc) The unique monitoring equipment allows them to watch the patient's condition around the clock. Advanced technologies of positron emission tomography and magnetic resonance imaging scanners visualize the location of the tumor and its metastasis, which in turn helps to affect the neoplasm without damaging surrounding tissues. Features of the Clinic

The first successful organ forming operation was carried out at korean Gil Hospital in 1988. In 2003- the first operation on implantation of an artificial disk in the vertebral department was carried out. In 2008, 25 successful liver transplantations were performed in a row.

The Gachon University Gil Medical Center is developing by the "smart hospital" strategy. Back in 1991, the Directorate created the Continuous Patient Information Support System (CALS), the Archiving and Imaging System (PACS) with telemedicine, so that all patients receive consultation with the doctor as quickly as possible.
