The European Institute of Oncology (IEO) is a non-profit medical center in Italy that specializes in the research and treatment of cancer. The European Institute of Oncology has been operating for more than 20 years. During this time, they established cooperation with many specialized organizations, due to which the employees of the clinic have the opportunity to gain experience in working with unique methods of cancer therapy. The medical center works with the University of Milan and the Experimental Oncological Campus of IFOM. The patient care program in IEO is based on the ESMO, ASCO and EAPC guidelines.                                     SURGICAL REMOVAL OF TUMORS IN IEO

The European Institute of Oncology is one of the leading centers in Italy for the number of minimally invasive interventions using laparoscopy and robotic technologies.  Surgery is performed in cases, if other methods of therapy do not give positive result. In certain cases, surgery is often combined with non-invasive methods, which allows them to achieve the maximum effect of treatment. Thanks to advanced operational technologies, breast cancer tumor can be treated in one day. This is possible in the early stages of this disease - the success of the operation is 98%.

Advanced technologies are used here, thanks to which more than 4, 500 patients receive effective radiotherapy annually. Stereotactic radiotherapy systems are installed in the center - with the help of which radiotherapy is conducted with minimal risk of complications. Healthy tissues are not adversely affected, since exposure accuracy is up to 1 mm.
